
Pakistan Army’s Major Anwar Kakar, who was alleged to be responsible for the kidnapping, rape, and murder of three Baloch girls, was killed by BLA fighters. A magnetic bomb was stuck to his car near Jabal-e-Noor, Quetta, Balochistan, on Saturday 19th July 2024.
Major Anwar was also associated with ISPR. A decorated Ghazi, he had previously survived the Gwadar operation despite sustaining serious injuries.
A magnetic blast is the explosion from a magnetic bomb—an IED equipped with magnets to attach to a vehicle’s underside for targeted attacks.
